Experienced Bozeman Dentist
Get to Know Dr. Adam Stutts
For over 15 years, Dr. Adam has had one simple goal in mind: to give his patients the best dental experience they’ve ever had. Nothing makes him happier than meeting a fearful or anxious patient and showing them that taking care of their teeth doesn’t have to be stressful or uncomfortable. He’s eager to change the way you think about dental care one smooth appointment at a time.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Adam says he was lucky to have a great childhood dentist who was inspirational – Dr. Gary Fisher in Collinsville, IL. He was very genuine, kind, and always wore a friendly smile. Later on, Dr. Adam had orthodontic work completed in a university/residency program, so he got an early glimpse of what it was like to be in a dental educational setting, and it was cool!
When he was in college at Montana State University, his older brother and sister-in-law (our own Dr. Jeff and Dr. Julie) were starting Cottonwood Creek Dental. As he was deciding what career to pursue, they were living and breathing dentistry and were big advocates for him to pursue a career in the dental field. He listened and hasn’t looked back since!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After finishing dental school at the University of Colorado, Dr. Adam completed a one-year general practice residency through the University of Colorado Hospital. In that program, he learned how to place implants, remove wisdom teeth, perform IV sedation, and take on more challenging dental cases. In 2010 (senior year of dental school), he went on a dental mission to Uganda to treat the dental needs of Ugandan orphans with HIV/AIDS.
Over the years, Dr. Adam has accumulated over 700 hours of high-level continuing education. He loves to grow his skills and offer his patients the best quality dentistry. This is more than double the state requirement for CE, much of which was taken through Spear Education, which trains top dentists from across the globe.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Adam and his wife, Jessica, met at Montana State University. One semester, they had four of the same lectures and labs. It was destiny! They married during dental school in Jessica's hometown of Winifred, MT. After they both finished their healthcare educations (Jessica is a PA), they moved back to Bozeman in 2011. In 2014, their identical twin girls, Ella and Lily, were born, and they completed the family with the arrival of their son, Lincoln, in 2018. As a family, they love to be inside, on the road, compete in sports, and of course enjoy Montana's magical outdoors.
When he isn’t with loved ones or taking care of patients, some of Dr. Adam’s favorite outdoor activities are fly fishing (that’s what originally brought him to Montana), bird hunting, training their two Brittany dogs, skiing, playing ice hockey, and mountain biking.
